First Newborn Pics!!

Hi all!

My wonderful family and I welcome to the world, Matilda Ellen Overland! :)

FINALLY!!! The baby has arrived!! Just like a true photographer, I couldn't stand having access to nothing but a point & shoot while in hospital and it was only 12 hours before I was asking hubby desperately to bring my 'proper' camera from home!!! The pics below were taken when Matilda was 10days old.  Hope you like them :)

Also keep an eye on my facebook page and on the blog in the new year as I will be attempting a project 52!! What this means is that I will post a minimum of 1 photo every week throughout 2011.  Most people do a project 365 where 1 pic gets posted every day of the year but I thought I'd start small!

30th Masquerade Party

I have had the most wonderful weekend taking pics (in FULL manual mode!!) at a friends 30th Party.  Below are a few of the extremely different portraits I took the first being my FAVE of the birthday girl herself!

Afternoon,

If you have been on the Sarah Jay Inspired facebook page today, you will know that I have been very busily editing photos so I can get more uploaded online for you to see.  Here is a tid bit of an RC car that was mentioned in my last post.

Now I will tell you straight out that my husband physically held the camera to take this shot, however it was me who directed it.  Really, I just didn't want to lie down on the dirt in the path of small but possibly harmful metal objects that move as fast as the town speed limit!!
